India Nikolai Adashkevich. The Indian court is likely to justify the 14 Estonian Residents who worked as guards against pirates on a merchant ship Seaman Guard Ohio, said on the first day of the weekend-the Indian Ambassador to Finland Ashok Kumar Sharma.

The ship Seaman Guard Ohio, which followed under the flag of Sierra Leone and owned by an American organization AdvanFort, was detained by the Indian authorities in October 2013. The crew and security team of the ship from the pirates consisted of 35 persons, among whom were citizens of India, the UK, Ukraine, as well as 14 Residents of Estonia. Those arrested were charged with illegal possession of weapons and ammunition and the illicit acquisition of fuel.

in July last year the court of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu has closed the case under the criminal code and was cleared of all charges regarding the members of the crew and guards of the vessel, but they are until now not have the opportunity to return home, since the court's decision was appealed to the Supreme court of India. The state government of Tamil Nadu has banned the citizens of Estonia to leave the country before the Supreme court decides on the case.

"The Supreme court of India remanded the case guards to the Supreme court of the state of Tamil Nadu in July, setting the term of consideration of six months. These six months will expire at the end of December. So the final decision can be made on the past 2 months. With high probability the decision would be acquittal, " said Sharma in conversation Estonian edition.
