Media: Iran has started issuing 30-day visas for tourists from 58 countries
The Iranian authorities began the extradition in airports, tourist visas up to 30 days for foreigners from 58 countries, as well as among them Russian citizens, informs on Thursday Agency referring to local mass-media.

These measures are taken during the plan, approved by the Iranian government two months ago. Under the new rules, after a 30-day period, travelers from 58 countries have the opportunity to apply for a visa extension for another fifteen days. Before foreign citizens can get the Iranian airports the visa for up to 14 days to renew it were not allowed.

fresh rules apply to tourists from most European countries, including Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, France, tourists coming from Russia and Ukraine. As emphasized by the media, these standards do not apply for holders of Iranian passports, and for businessmen and correspondents.

travelers from designated countries can obtain a visa on arrival at the airport several times throughout the year. Citizens of the USA, the UK, Canada and some other countries to locate in Iranian territory need to obtain a visa in advance through the diplomatic representations of Iran in these countries.

According to the world Council for travel and tourism (WTTC), the country already in 2015 expects industry growth of tourism on 6, 6%, and by 2024, Iran is planning to increase the contribution of tourism industry to GDP to 8 to 9 billion dollars.
