Poroshenko hopes that the court decided the issue of elections of the mayor in Pavlograd
The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko hopes that the court will determine whether the second round on elections of the mayor of Pavlograd of Dnipropetrovsk region.

Local elections in Ukraine took place on 25 October. In small towns with population over 90 thousand people, the mayor was elected by a simple majority of votes, and in the large cities must be assigned the second round, if none of the candidates could gain more than 50% of the vote. According to media reports, before the start of the election race in Pavlograd there were 90, 3 thousand voters, but on election day in voting lists were made 89, 8 thousand people. According to the explanation of the CEC, the second round in Pavlograd is not needed, since the mayor was elected by no more than 90 thousand people.

All-Ukrainian public organization "Committee of voters of Ukraine" said that the CEC replaces the concept "electoral system" and " re-valaisiana ", speaking about the fact that the number of voters entered in the Protocol may become a basis for appointment of the 2nd round of elections of the mayor. The Committee commented that, According to the law " On local elections ", electoral system by which elections will be held in a particular city should be determined even before the start of the election campaign.

"Outraged by the situation around the elections in Pavlograd! I believe that voters, not elected officials have to determine the winner of the race. I fully support the position "of the Department of voters of Ukraine" regarding the illegality of the substitution of the concept "electoral system" and " re-valaisiana ". I hope that the legitimate decision of the court will protect the electoral rights of the residents of Pavlograd ", - wrote Poroshenko on his page century

International observers believe that a new system involving an open list " was hard to understand voters and members of election commissions ". They also stress that the legislation does not predusmotrena the possibility of voting of internally displaced persons in Ukraine, there are over 5 million people.
