Picture with 42 cats sold for $826 thousand At Sotheby's auction in new York for 826 thousand of dollars have gone under the hammer painting by Austrian artist Karl Kahler "my wife's Lovers", which depicts the 42 cats. The work in 1891, ordered a very wealthy lover of furry Pets of the pupils from San Francisco, CA Kate Beardsall Johnson.
