In the U.S. Congress revised the defense budget, rejected by Obama
Alexey Bogdanovsky. The chamber authorized the U.S. Congress revised on Thursday, defense budget, which was vetoed by the head of the USA Barack Obama, however, did not take into account certain objections of the administration, including the issue of closing the prison at Guantanamo Bay.

The new defense budget includes spending 607 billion on defence in the current fiscal year, estimated at $ 5 billion less than the previous budget, rejected by Obama. The law still provides for the authorization for expenditure to help Ukraine with weapons in the amount of 300 million dollars, if the administration deems it necessary. In the conditions of a ceasefire in Eastern Ukraine, which in General has been observed for more than 2 months, the White house makes no implication that such assistance will be provided.

The defence act still contains provisions that prevent the administration to close the prison holding terrorism suspects citizens of third countries, which the USA have not found the opportunity to judge on its territory.

The white house says would impose the leader's veto on a New draft law in case of its adoption by the Senate. It is expected that the Senate will see a new version of the military budget in the upcoming week.
