The head of Ministry of state Vladimir Demchyshyn on the last working day of the week said that Ukraine is prepared for a possible force majeure on gas supplies from Russia next winter, having bought more than 1 billion cubic meters of gas more than in the previous heating season. Tuesday Demchyshyn said that Gazprom set the price for gas from Russia allows Kiev to buy natural gas in the volumes required, and gives the opportunity to count on the planned passage of the heating season. While Kiev nourishes the hope that in 2016 the cost for gas from Russia will be lower than 227 dollars per thousand cubic meters. October 27, Demchyshyn has acknowledged that his country till the end of the year will not be able to accumulate in underground storages need for the winter season to 19 billion cubic meters of blue fuel. Along with this, Ukraine began massive deforestation for firewood, as well as among them protected. Trees are felled even in the region of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. In Kiev, now about 165 homes still remain without heat. On 12 October, Russian gas deliveries to Ukraine were resumed after a three-month break. At the same time, Gazprom said that Naftogaz transferred $ 234 million pre-payment of the promised five hundred million dollars. A source close to the EU leadership, said that in winter Ukraine will need to purchase gas from Russia, because technically all the needs of the country in blue fuel does not have the ability to be covered by the supply of the reverse from EU countries.
