Poroshenko expects that Parliament will adopt anti-discrimination amendment to the TC
The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko hopes that the elected officials at the meeting on Thursday will vote for anti-discrimination amendment to the Labour code, which, among them, excludes the possibility of infringement of the rights of sexual minorities commissioners when taken to the workplace.

Parliament on Tuesday passed a package of laws necessary For visa liberalization with the EU. Along with this, the MPs rejected the amendment to the Labour rule that prevents discrimination on racial, religious And gender or sexual orientation, that was one of the conditions of the EU. The fifteenth of December is expected to report to the European Commission on the progress of Kiev in the execution of the action plan on visa liberalization. According to the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine, a positive assessment will begin the preparatory procedures For the abolition of visas.

"A large part of its debt to the voters, our Parliament extinguished. However, strength, wisdom And responsibility to take the final step in the fulfillment of obligations of Ukraine on visa-free regime the deputies did not have enough. I mean anti-discrimination amendment to the Labour code of Ukraine. And I am not surprised when do not vote for those political forces that hinder the movement of Ukraine into the European Union. But strangely, when our political partners in the coalition, which has documented this commitment in the coalition agreement, which clearly highlighted in their own electoral programmes about European integration And obligations under the visa-free regime, the political forces, which are very modern And progressive, all of a sudden fall into deep prejudices And stereotypes the anti-European imposition, " said Poroshenko met with the newly elected mayors of Ukrainian cities on Wednesday.

He also said that he would convince the deputies in the necessity of adopting this amendment.

"I have noted And emphasize: achieving a visa-free regime is of mine, the parliamentary, the whole society is a priority task. And the timeout, which is in this matter until tomorrow, I do have to apply in order to convince all who tomorrow must finish the binding process of change, which offer Ukraine the road to visa-free regime with the EU ", - said the head of Ukraine.

Kiev And the EU are implementing a program of liberalization of the visa regime. The Ukrainian authorities hope to receive a visa-free regime with the European Union in 2016. To do this, the Europeans require from Kiev to intensify the battle against illegal activity of officials, to reform at the border And bring the identity documents to the European model in the form of a biometric ID card.
