Rada adopted a law establishing a State Bureau of investigation
The Ukrainian Parliament on Thursday adopted in the General Act, which provides for the development of a new Central Executive body - the State Bureau of investigation, the proper decision at the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada supported 241 MP when the required minimum of 226 votes.

According to the author of the bill, MP from the faction "Batkivschyna" Andrey Kozhemyakin, the main task of the state Bureau will be the prevention and combating crimes.

"Government offices have a range of possibilities to identify, to reveal the facts of serious crimes, to identify the development of criminal gangs, to reveal the iniquity committed by the police themselves, for example bullying people, and lawlessness associated with the crime," - said Kozhemyakin, introducing the Document in Parliament. According to him, the adoption of this law deprives prosecutors " all the powers which are left over from the Soviet Union and brings Ukraine closer to Europe ".

according to the document, the Director of the state Bureau will appoint the head of Ukraine upon nomination by the Premier and in Accordance with the recommendations of the Council on competition on replacement of the Director of the Bureau. The number of Central office and territorial administrations of the new body will be 1, 5 thousand people.

The law requires that the State Bureau of investigation is an independent body, any interference of state bodies, bodies of local self-government, political parties in its activities is prohibited. The document shall be signed by the head of Ukraine. The law starts to operate since the establishment of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine the State Bureau of investigation, but not later than March 1, 2016, except for the provisions on the selection Committee that will apply from 1 January 2016.
