Demchyshyn propose to extend electricity supply to Crimea by 2016
The head of Ministry of Ukraine Volodymyr demchyshyn said that he wants to put before the Cabinet a proposal to extend the supply of electric energy to Crimea in 2016.

A one-year contract between the Russian company "inter RAO" and "Ukrinterenergo" on supplies of Russian electric power to Ukraine entered into force on 30 December 2014. At the same time the parties agreed on ensuring reliable and uninterrupted supply of Crimea, which is 70% dependent on Ukrainian electric energy. Both contracts expire at the end of the current year.

this Friday Ukraine completely stopped the import of electric energy from Russia in connection with the termination of restoration at Rovno NPP, said first Fins news in the press service of " Ukrenergo ". Previously demchyshyn said that Ukraine imports electricity due to the shortage of capacity that arose because of temporary outage of one unit at the Rovno NPP in connection with completion of the line Rivne-Kyiv.

The head of the Ministry of energy of Russia Alexander Novak on Thursday said that he sees no issues with the supply of electric power from Ukraine in Crimea
