Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman wants to put together a working group to develop an electoral code.

Regular Elections to local government bodies in Ukraine took place on 25 October. On the fifteenth of November was held the second round of elections of mayors in 29 cities of Ukraine. The elections were held under the new law, which was passed not more than four months before election day and involves the use of three electoral systems. Observers of the OSCE / ODIHR in its own report on the results of the elections stressed that the new electoral system was too complicated to understand as voters and members of terizbirkom, and encouraged Kiev to work on improving the electoral law.

Authorized parties "Block Poroshenko" and " Opposition Bloc ", first expressed the view that the new electoral legislation needs considerable refinement.
