During the meeting discussed the issue of combating terrorism is 1 of the most important topics all over the world.

The Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko called for the establishment of an international court on crimes of terrorists. She expressed confidence that the joint elimination of threats is a key condition for the preservation of modern civilization, because all powers have to merge to fight the extremists, even to the organization of the court over the militia.

It is anticipated that the results of this meeting will be adopted a Declaration on combating terrorism. Earlier, the state Duma issued a statement in which they urged the parliamentarians of the countries of Europe, North America, Middle East and other regions to do their utmost for the immediate establishment of an international anti-terrorist coalition. Among other things, the Federation Council adopted an appeal calling "to unite the efforts of all members of the international community, to create a broad coalition of States that rejects violent extremism and is ready to make its own contribution to the victory over total evil."
