Ukraine is looking for fresh markets for their products in response to the Russian embargo
Ukraine working on finding new markets for Ukrainian products in response to the possible introduction from 1 January, the Russian food embargo, said the head of Ministry of economic development and trade Aivars Abromavicius.

"Trying for the producers to find other markets," said Abromavicius at a press conference on the first day of the week. He said that the story is about the markets of Africa and Asia.

According to the Minister, Ukraine's trade with Russia in recent years has greatly decreased and now is only 12, 4% of Ukraine's exports.

The Russian ban on the import of Ukrainian food, like a normal trade regime (now a significant part of the items delivered from Ukraine to Russia duty-free), will take effect in the case of the Kyiv economic part of the Treaty on the Union with EU or from 1 January 2016, if the trilateral dialogues with the participation of the Russian Federation will not remove Russia's concerns in connection with the establishment of a free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU.
