Scientists from the United States have developed a computer method that enables the use of voice analysis to predict the triumph of family relationships. The results of their own research, the authors published in the journal Proceedings of Interspeech, and briefly about them, informs Daily Mail.

Made by scientists the algorithm is allowed with an accuracy of 79% to predict success and failure in building and development of family relationships. It analyzes the distinctive features of tone of voice. Namely, the method assesses the intensity and frequency of speech In own work scientists have recorded conversations of more than 100 couples who for 2 years has attended therapeutic sessions with the aim of improving and maintaining their own relationships. Then the experts in a period of 5 years watched the development of relations in these families.

Therapists, talked with their spouses, were able to give the correct monitoring of the development of relations in the pair in only 75 per cent of cases. Scientists intend to use the developed software in the family therapy sessions.

The study authors supported the national science Foundation of the United States. Its purpose is to preserve families and prevent the origin of problems in them. In the future with the same purpose scientists expect to study the bodily movements of the spouses and analyze the spoken words.
