Ukroboronprom started cooperation with the Turkish military company Aselsan. The parties are exploring the possibility of cooperation on modernization of Ukrainian weapons: tanks, artillery and armored personnel carriers.

Specifically, after the freezing of relations between Russia and Turkey due to the treacherous attack on the su-24 in the border areas of Syria, Kiev has appealed to Ankara with a proposal to establish military cooperation. Ukroboronprom outlines the implementation of joint programmes with the Turkish company Aselsan.

Firstly the company will be engaged in research projects on modernization of Ukrainian tanks. Besides all this, the future of Turkish professionals will improve other weapons and troops, even artillery and armoured vehicles, reports The Defense News.

For example, companies will conduct research to improve the Turkish system of AKKOR. This device allows you to protect tanks against missile attacks. It can be mounted on other types of armored vehicles, says the publication "Look".

Turkish firm Aselsan among other things, invented a system of radio-electronic suppression of land-based "coral". It was launched by Turkish troops on the border with Syria in response to the placement Russia s-400 in the region. And yet, in the Ministry of defence doubt that the study of the Turkish expert may in any way affect the operation of modern Russian anti-aircraft missile system.
