BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE avoided being photographed together as they arrived at an awards bash at the weekend.

The Hollywood golden couple - who reportedly met divorce lawyers last week - shocked guests by walking hand-in-hand to the ceremony.

But they avoided going down the red carpet together at the Directors Guild of America Awards in Los Angeles.

A source at the event said Brad, 46, played the doting husband inside.

He was there to present an award to Inglourious Basterds director QUENTIN TARANTINO.

An onlooker revealed: "They looked very giggly, like they were having a fun time."

Sources close to Angelina, 34, and Brad - who have six kids - have denied a split, including her dad actor JON VOIGHT.
