The leader of the ISIS released an audio recording for militants in Mosul The group ISIS has released an audio recording allegedly involving its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, in which he says he is "confident in victory" in Mosul. Addressing the people, he said that 5 thousand insurgents are in the city and keep the land.

This is the first record of al-Baghdadi from the end of 2015. The tone and hostility towards the Muslims-Shiites and other Muslim groups are more aggressive than in previous entries.

The voice says "enemies of God from the Jews, Christians, atheists, Shiites, apostates and infidels all over the world have devoted their media, money, army and ammunition to fight the Muslims and jihadists in the state of Nineveh after she became one of the pillars of Islam and one of its minarets under the Caliphate." Nineveh is the ancient name of modern Mosul. "You must be United in your fight against your enemy. You should strive to raise the word of God on Earth," he said.

The leader of the violent Islamist group first appeared in the public eye during a sermon delivered in the mosque of al-Nuri in Mosul in July 2014. The latest audio message from al-Baghdadi appeared on the Internet in December 2015, where he mocked the Western coalition, threatened Israel and tried to raise the morale of their fighters.

"Soldiers of the Islamic state be patient because you are on the right track," he said. "Be patient because God is with you."

The roots of the band come from the Sunni terrorist group al-Qaeda, appeared
