In Oklahoma, police shot and killed a criminal during a shootout In Oklahoma was shot and killed a man who was accused of a series of violent crimes committed in the course of a week.

The County Sheriff's office in Oklahoma said on Facebook early Monday morning, "We were informed about the murder suspect. Michael Dale Vance was killed near leedy in Dewey County. County Sheriff Dewey also was injured during a collision with the suspect. Injury County Sheriff are not life-threatening ". Lidi is located approximately 130 miles Northwest of Oklahoma city.

On Facebook Sheriff Shane Booth said: "the Prosecution is over and all the lads. Unfortunately, one officer was killed, and he's one of my best friends. So, I ask you to pray for him. Thank you."

Vance was wanted for a string of murders, shootings and carjackings, including two counts of murder in the first degree. He beheaded two relatives in the town of Luther. County Sheriff Oklahoma John Wetzel described them as "rage murder". He was also accused of shooting at two officers. Authorities say the chase and shootout began at a time when officers carried out a search around the square on Sunday evening.

Law enforcement officers were called about 5 p.m. Sunday in a wooded area near Hammon in Western Oklahoma after they said they found a stolen Mitsubishi Eclipse. Police found a campsite, once found the vehicle. Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the perimeter and into thinking that Vance is still in the perimeter as of 9 PM.
