Russia and Turkey will launch a "Turkish stream" in 3 years The agreement on construction of gas pipeline "Turkish stream", which concluded on the eve of Moscow and Ankara, today the center of attention of the foreign press. The Financial Times notes that Russia and Turkey have decided to forget their differences for the sake of the contract, which opens a new path for Russian energy to Western Europe.

The newspaper notes that the agreement was signed despite resistance from a number of European countries and also the USA. "Turkish stream" is beneficial to both countries. the pipeline will reduce the dependence of Russia on the situation in Eastern Europe and strengthen its position in the gas market of the EU. Turkey intends to become an energy hub for the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean.

Today Gazprom will hold talks with the Austrian authorities on the "Nord stream 2". The company expects to launch the pipeline in 3 years. Around the same time to be implemented and other large - scale project "Turkish stream."
