Living conditions in Eastern Aleppo is getting worse every day. Residents of the city are increasingly desperate to tell the world what is happening - and many of them resorted to WhatsApp.

"The situation in Aleppo is very serious. The feeling that you could die at any moment," said 28-year-old nurse, working in the besieged city. More than 200 air strikes were made over the weekend leaving more than 100 civilians were killed, hundreds injured, reported the head of the group of Syria civil defense of Ammar al-Selma.

Despite the relentless attacks, the people remain strong. Several activists regularly post updates to the WhatsApp app. WhatsApp has become an important means of communication in the war-torn country. In the report for 2015 prepared a report from research company TNS documented that the application has become the preferred social platform surveyed from the region, and those who use social media in Syria, 98% use it.
