Ukrainian company " Ukrgazvydobuvannya ", owned by national joint stock company (NJSC) " Naftogaz of Ukraine ", started in the last month the shale gas extraction method of hydraulic fracturing (fracking) to ease the country's dependence on gas supplies from Russia, said the head of Naftogaz Andrey Kobelev.
Kobelev in interview to Bloomberg said that the drilling of the first well was carried out in cooperation with European partners, reports the news Agency.
