"United Russia" won 54,21% at the end of treatment, 90% of protocols The political party of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin United Russia won the most votes in the parliamentary elections in the country.

According to the state news Agency Interfax that United Russia received 54,21% of the votes of 90% of all votes counted. The Communist party got the 13,54%, the liberal democratic party received 13.28% and Fair Russia party gained 6.19 percent of the vote.

The result indicates the improvement of United Russia, which received 49% of votes in the elections 2011. The party has gained tremendous popularity thanks to Putin, who spent the last 17 years as Prime Minister or President.

Turnout for the vote of the state Duma amounted to 47.4%. Elections to the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian Parliament, took place on 18 September.

The vote was held on a split system. 225 members of Parliament were elected on party tickets and the other 225 are elected in single-mandate constituencies. More than 111 million people were eligible to vote.
