In London a man with a knife attacked passers-by One woman was killed and five others were injured in the attack in the centre of Russell square in London. 19-year-old young people massacred on the street of London. The authorities have decided to increase police presence on the streets of metropolis.

"As a precautionary measure, Londoners will Wake up in the morning and they notice an increased police presence on the streets, including armed employees," said mark Rowley, assistant Commissioner of Scotland Yard,. "This is necessary in order to ensure confidence and safety. We ask the public to remain calm, vigilant and alert."

The suspect, 19-year-old man is in police custody at the hospital, police said.
During the attack, was killed by an elderly woman. Two other women and three men were injured. Mental health is "a major factor" in the investigation, but terrorism is also not excluded.

Officials informed the media about the investigation. Based on early evidence, investigators believe that the incident was a terrorist attack. Anti-terrorist police supports the investigation.

Police were called at 10:33 p.m. local time on Wednesday after reports of a man "with a knife, which injure people." The suspect was stopped with a Taser. He was arrested less than 10 minutes.

The incident occurred a few hours after authorities announced that the streets of London will be increased by armed police following the recent terrorist attacks in Europe.

In December, the 29-year-old muhadin Moore was charged with attempted murder after he did not triggered the knife attack at a subway station in the London suburb of Leytonstone.
Subway is located in Bloomsbury in West Central London Russell Square, close to the main buildings of the University of London and the British Museum.

This area is popular with tourists due to its proximity to the museums and Central London. The terrorist attacks on 7 July 2005, the metro which is near Russell square was struck by the most devastating of the four bombs.
