Ukrainian miners blocked the road to the customs point with Poland
Ukrainian miners blocked the road near the customs crossing "Yagodyn" with Poland, demanding the payment of wage arrears, said the head of the Independent trade Union of miners of Ukraine (npgu) Mikhail Volynets.

Also, the Ukrainian miners staged a rally in Kiev, demanding payment of wage arrears and protesting against the authorities ' intention to close a number of mines, blocked the international highway, staged a hunger strike. In mid-June, the miners-disabled people blocked traffic on the streets near the Ministry of social policy of Ukraine, demanding recalculation of pensions. The Ukrainian government promised to repay the debts. January 5, the Ukrainian authorities stated that the Ministry of energy and coal industry of Ukraine has allocated almost $ 3 million to repay debts under the salary to miners. However, the protests continue.
