In southern Sudan formed an uneasy truce After several days of bloodshed in South Sudan has formed an uneasy truce, where soldiers killed dozens of people last week. The President of South Sudan Salva Kiir and Vice-President Rick Machar agreed to a truce after several days of heavy fighting between soldiers.

Both players were involved in the struggle for power. For many years the forces, who are faithful to each side engaged in battles against each other. In 2011, South Sudan seceded from its Northern neighbor brokered by international diplomats and got into one of the world's longest civil wars.

Citizens of South Sudan danced in the streets, after gaining independence from Sudan. Many believed that finally, they are waiting for a peaceful existence. But rival factions turned against each other and began a new bloodshed. This weekend marked the fifth anniversary of the independence of South Sudan. But instead of celebrating another year as a sovereign state, violence erupted.

Kiir and Machar are the Central figures in the heart of the strife. The two leaders were involved in the struggle for power at the end of 2013 when the President accused the Vice President of trying to overthrow him through a coup. In the same year, the President dismissed the entire Cabinet, including Vice-President. Forces loyal to both sides grabbed their weapons and followed chaos. The violence quickly spread across the country on a national scale. Over 3 years of violence has killed at least 50 thousand people.

The conflict assumed an ethnic connotation, since each side is of different tribe - the tribe of Machar Nuer while the President hails from the Dinka tribe. Dinka and Nuer are the largest ethnic groups in the country. As the bloodshed continued, the international community appealed to Kiir and Machar to do everything possible to stop the violence.

In the framework of a peace agreement to put an end to the civil war, the President said that his political rival disposed of his old job as Vice-President, but troops loyal to each side were not so lenient, and collided again.

USA in turn ordered the evacuation of all non-essential Embassy staff. UK recommended to cancel trips to South Sudan, as the situation in the region deteriorates.

Germany evacuates its citizens while the plane with Italian and European citizens went to Djibouti. India warned its citizens in the country to register with their Embassy in Juba remained indoors, as the government is working to evacuate all citizens. The consequences of the fighting spread to the international level.
