Italy faced 2 trains At least 10 people were killed in a head-on collision of two trains on Tuesday morning in a rural area in the South-East of Italy, said a firefighter. The crash happened about 11:05 a.m. in Puglia.

The victims were injured in the accident between the cities of Ruvo di Puglia and Corato, about 15 kilometres South of the Adriatic sea, according to the Italian news Agency ANSA.

The photo shows the remains of broken wagons and a large area of twisted metal at the point of impact. Both trains were on the same rail and move towards each other. The crash happened in a relatively remote area. Local authorities issued the call in social media to ask physicians and medical professionals who are near the scene of the tragedy to travel to the crash and help the victims.
