Taiwan is waiting for the arrival of super-Typhoon "Nepartak" Taiwan on high alert before the arrival of super-Typhoon "Nepartak", which is expected to hit the island early Friday morning local time.

Currently surging at speeds up to 280 kilometers per hour (170 mph) with wind gusts even higher than, the Typhoon "soudelor", which in 2015 has caused billions of dollars in damage in Taiwan and China. Then killed at least 36 people.

Thousands of troops were mobilized in Taiwan and increased emergency services, said the defense Ministry's press service. The representative of the Central emergency operating center Li Wei-sen said that the authorities are concerned about widespread flooding, especially in the Eastern counties of Yilan and Hualien.

"Nepartak" will be the biggest Typhoon for 6 years, which will fall on Taiwan and the first in 2016 for the whole of the Northern hemisphere after an unusually quiet storm season.

In social media, meteorologists and storm chasers share their blagogovenie size and shape of the super Typhoon "Nepartak", describing it as "almost perfect" storm.

Flood and rains, rainfall exceeding 900 mm is expected to fall in some parts of Taiwan, when the Typhoon comes ashore. Prices for food in Taiwan jumped ahead of the Typhoon, local media reported, while Minister of transport Ho Chen tan promised Taoyuan international airport will be able to withstand a direct hit of the storm. Press Secretary Lee said further evacuation plans will be taken on Thursday morning, with announcements made on the same day.

"Nepartak", most likely, will retain its status as a super Typhoon until, until it reaches Taiwan and is currently a category 5 hurricane (253 miles per hour, or 157 mph). Despite the fact that the East coast of Taiwan is not heavily populated, rugged terrain of the island increases the risk of floods and landslides during tropical cyclones.
