Trump and Putin talked about the future of Russian-American relations The President of Russia Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with the newly elected President of the United States Donald trump, according to statements from the transition team trump and the Kremlin.

Last week, Putin's press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told CNN that he hopes that trump will contribute to improving relations between Washington and Moscow.
