The 50-year-old music mogul proposed to the make-up artist last month and now he has decided to settle down, he is also keen to start a family. Simon recently revealed he would like to become a father and isn?t willing to wait too long for Mezhgan to get pregnant.

"Simon says he can`t wait to have kids. He`s told friends he isn`t getting any younger. He says Mezhgan will make an amazing mum and it`s going to happen sooner rather than later," a source told Closer magazine. "Simon?s had plenty of fun over the years, but he`s scared of doing this when he?` too old to really enjoy the experience. He wants to be young enough to give his all to it. He` even been choosing which room in his home to do up as a nursery. If he had his way they?d have a child by the end of the year - but that would mean her getting pregnant this month. So he`s set his goals on having a baby no later than next spring. Mezhgan`s told him she is 100% committed to the idea."

The TV star recently revealed he was ready to raise a family with Mezhgan. "She`s very special. I think I need to have little Simons running around," he said in a TV interview.

Simon`s brother Nicholas Cowell has revealed the star`s wedding will be a glitzy affair. It has been claimed the couple can`t decide whether to tie the knot in Los Angeles where they both live, or near Simon?s hometown in East Sussex. "I know they haven`t planned the wedding yet, but it will probably be in the Vatican done by the Pope!" Nicholas joked.

Wherever they do choose for their wedding venue, Nicholas is confident Simon has found the right woman to spend the rest of his life with. "Simon obviously loves Mezhgan, or he wouldn?t be marrying her. She`s a really nice girl," he added. "If he`s happy then that?s fantastic. He`s obviously realised there`s more to life than work."
