Platform for Chinese power plant collapsed Thursday morning, killing 74 people, reports the Chinese state news Agency Xinhua. 68 victims have been identified. Their age ranges from 23 to 53 years, reports Xinhua.

Two other people were injured, including the victim, whom rescuers managed to pull out of the rubble at the scene, in the city of Fengcheng in southern Jiangxi province, according to Chinese state broadcaster CCTV.

The platform was built around the tower, which was being renovated, reported according to State news Agency Xinhua.

68 people worked on the platform at the moment of collapse, according to the State administration of China for safety.

Were deployed more than 200 firefighters and search and rescue teams. Image channel CCTV showed a pile of twisted metal and scores of rescuers looking for survivors under the rubble.

In the statement, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang called for a rescue team to "work around the clock to rescue people under the rubble," and "to make every effort to treat the wounded and to try our best to reduce casualties."
