In Germany, the police foiled another terrorist attack Police in Germany announced that they foiled a possible terrorist plot. The criminals wanted to attack Europe's largest shopping centre and a popular Christmas market in the Western city of Oberhausen.

Two brothers from Kosovo, aged 28 and 31 were arrested, they "are suspected of planning attack on shopping Mall "CentrO" in Oberhausen," said police in a statement released on Friday.

The arrests come against the backdrop of the terrorist attack which occurred on Monday at the Christmas fair in Berlin. Truck at full speed crashed into the crowd. 12 people were killed and 48 were injured. Police looking for suspect in the brutal crime, is a 24-year-old Anis Amri. His documents were found at the scene of the driver's seat in the truck.

There is no connection between these two events. Two men were arrested in Duisburg - about 15 km (9.3 mi) from Oberhausen, police said. The arrests were made after officers received a "signal from the security service," reads the statement. The investigation is ongoing at the time, as expanding the list of suspects who could be involved in this event, police said.
