Russian officials acknowledged the state support system of doping Russian officials no longer deny the alleged "legalized" doping their athletes during the Olympic games 2014 in Sochi, according to a new report from The New York Times. The New York Times posted a report commissioned by the world anti-doping Agency, which claimed that the Russian government conspired with the athletes and sports officials to conduct a doping program that was unprecedented in its scale and ambition. A "centralized and systematic cover-up" was possible thanks to the more than 1000 athletes in 30 sports, said Professor Richard McLaren in the update to the report first published in July.

The Kremlin has said it will carefully study the report, but will "refrain from forming an emotional response to the statement" government conspiracy, "according to the State news Agency. Ministry of Russia has refused to support programs for doping in sport and stressed that "continuing its fight against doping from a position of "zero tolerance ".
