Pitt and Jolie are trying to protect children from media Brad pitt and Angelina Jolie have released their first joint statement on Monday evening.
A divorcing couple agreed to close all court documents regarding their divorce to protect their six children.

"The parties and their counsel signed the agreement on the conservation of the rights to privacy of their children and families, keeping all court documents are confidential and attracting individual judge to create any necessary legal decisions and promote the early resolution of any remaining issues. Parents agree to act as a United front for the implementation of the recovery and reunification, "the couple said in a statement obtained by CNN.

Jolie and pitt are in the midst of a public divorce and custody battle for their children. Pitt has requested joint custody of the children. Pitt was denied emergency hearing, in which he wanted to protect the privacy of their children, not exposing them to the negative impact of media and public scrutiny around the world.

During the interview, Jolie claimed that pitt was trying "to protect themselves, not minor children" according to documents. Recently, pitt has filed additional court documents in which he indicated that his wife "decided to ignore even agreed standards concerning children. Jolie had "self-regulating mechanism" when it came to protect their children. Pitt and Jolie are currently followed by an informal custody agreement, in which Jolie retains full custody of the children, and pitt has visitation.
