In the US, police apologized for the crime, the 76-year-old In the US, the chief of police Lou Delmar publicly apologized on Thursday night for the crime of 76-year-old, after the brutal murder of a black man.

Delmar publicly apologized for the lack of protection given to the black man, his name was Austin Calloway, when he was shot in 1940, according to CBS Columbus, Georgia branch WRBL-TV. He said that in September 1940, a group of armed men in masks drove Austin out of jail. The next morning, a passerby found the victim covered in blood. The man died from gunshot wounds a few hours later.

"What was done wrong," said a diverse crowd in the Methodist Church Delmar. He apologized for the lack of a Department of the police response over the killing of a black man. "I, on behalf of the police Department and the city of Lagrange, I want to ask the police Department to take drastic measures to protect the memory of Austin Calloway, who was brutally assassinated in 1940", he said.

"Acknowledgement and apology is needed to help in the healing of wounds of past atrocities and injustices," he continued. Delmar said apologies work on attracting more of deep trust between the company and employees of public safety.
