The mayor of the city in the suburbs of Paris called for calm on Sunday after the demonstration over the alleged rape of a young man by the police.

More than 2 thousand people marched Saturday in the city, "Bobigny", about six miles (9.2 km) North-East of the French capital. They chanted and carried placards demanding justice for the 22-year-old man who says he was raped by the police.
