In Philadelphia, vandals desecrated the Jewish cemetery Over 100 tombstones were desecrated at a Jewish cemetery in Philadelphia, the damage is detected less than a week after similar vandalism happened in Missouri, authorities said.

People while visiting the cemetery called the police at 9:40 a.m. Sunday to report that 3 of his relatives gravestones were overturned and damaged. "The cemetery was checked and was found about 100 additional gravestones that were damaged," apparently, sometime after nightfall on Saturday, a spokesman of the police said in a statement.

Press Secretary of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Israel, Emmanuel Nachshon called the report "shocking and a source of concern", although he added that he has "full confidence" that the authorities in the US will be able to catch and punish the perpetrators. Governor of Pennsylvania Tom wolf called the vandalism "cowardly".
"We must find those responsible and to prosecute," said the wolf.

A week before this incident, the Jewish cemetery in the suburbs of St. Louis, was also desecrated. More than 150 gravestones were overturned and damaged. The mayor of Philadelphia Jim Kenny stated that the authorities are doing everything possible to find those "who desecrated the final resting place."
