The state news Agency of Malaysia Bernama quoted Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who said that the visa will take from 6 March. The police did not have sufficient evidence to charge him, the Malaysian attorney General Mohamed Apandi Ali told CNN. He will be deported to North Korea after his release, Ali said.

Malaysian citizens were the only people in the world who could go into North Korea without a visa.
