British police arrested 7 people in case of terrorist attack Police are investigating the deadliest terrorist attack in Central London over the last 12 years, was arrested 7 people and searched 6 addresses, said Thursday a senior officer of the British police to combat terrorism. According to Mark Rowley, the queries continue in London, Birmingham and other parts of the country.

According to Rowley, the victims were police protecting the Parliament, a woman aged 40 and a man aged 50 years. The attacker rammed a crowd of pedestrians on Westminster bridge, before he tried to storm the Parliament building, was also shot at the scene. Rawley said 29 of the injured are in hospital, 7 of whom are still in critical condition.

Rowley said hundreds of investigators worked through the night, and their investigation was focused on motivation, training and accomplices of the attacker. "We continue to believe that the attacker acted alone and was inspired by international terrorism," he said. "At this stage we have no specific information about additional threats to the population."

On Thursday evening in Trafalgar square, near Westminster, will be held a memorial service with candles, to show solidarity and to pay tribute to the victims, reads the statement of the mayor of London Sadiq Khan.

"London is the greatest city in the world, and we will never succumb to terrorism. We stand together in the face of those who seek to harm us and destroy our way of life. We have always done and always will," he said.
