Jared Kushner visited Iraq Senior White house adviser Jared Kushner went to Iraq this weekend and is expected to return to the United States at the beginning of this week, said a senior administrative official.

Kouchner, President-in-law of Donald trump, was invited by the Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff Joseph Dunford, said sources at CNN. A senior administration official declined to say on Sunday evening that Kushner did in Iraq, his first visit to the country after the adoption of a broad portfolio of foreign Affairs in the presidency of the trump.

It is expected that Kushner will play an important role at the meetings later this week between trump and Chinese President XI Jinping. For 36-year-old Kouchner is one of the most serious tasks in his new role in government.

In addition to other duties in the administration, he was entrusted with the role of peace envoy in the middle East. Married to Ivanka trump, Kushner appeared in the first weeks of the Board of trump as one of the closest confidants of the President. Since the inauguration of the trump rarely talked about Iraq or politics there. His comments last week that the United States "are very good in Iraq", which is still besieged by violence, provoked criticism.

The visit of Kouchner happened after American officials acknowledged that the United States is likely to blame in the murder of dozens of Iraqi civilians in Mosul, which occurred March 17. This incident has again caused concern about the civilian casualties after US-led air campaign against ISIS.
