In St. Petersburg there was a terrorist attack. Two homemade bombs were planted in the subway cars. The explosions occurred at the station "Sennaya" and "Institute of Technology" blue line of the subway of St. Petersburg.

During the attack 9 people were killed, about 20 injured, including heavy. All stations of the Petersburg underground are closed. Passengers were evacuated. The investigation is underway. Another bomb was discovered and defused at the station "Ploschad Vosstaniya".

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev called a terrorist act "shared pain". The victims of the explosion in the underground will receive compensation in the amount of 2 million rubles. At the moment the investigation is underway.
