The United States criticized Russia over chemical attack in Syria The defense Ministry of Russia accused Syrian airstrike in the murder of civilians with chemical weapons in the province Sit in Idlib. At least 70 people, including children, were killed after chemical weapons were used.

According to a statement published Wednesday on the Facebook page of the Ministry, the strike struck "workshops producing chemical munitions" on the Eastern outskirts of the city of Khan shaykhun. The activists said that the Syrian regime dropped a chemical bomb and is responsible for the murder, with the result that the UN had replaced the scheduled session of the Security Council on Wednesday morning emergency meeting. The military of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad denied using chemical weapons and accused rebels in the massacre.
