United States open to military action in Syria President Donald trump has described the chemical attack that killed more than 70 people in Syria as "disgusting" act that changed his views on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Speaking at a press conference in the White house, trump said that the attack "crossed many lines," and that cannot be tolerated. Trump has not offered any details about how to change the US strategy in Syria, and he criticized Russia directly. But trump said that the details of the attack deeply affected him. "Yesterday's chemical attack, so horrific in Syria against innocent people, including women, young children, and their death was an insult to humanity," said trump, speaking in the "Rose garden" together with Jordan's king Abdullah.

"These heinous actions of the Assad regime could not be tolerated. The United States stand together with our allies worldwide to condemn this vicious attack and all the other terrible attacks, for that matter".

Earlier in the day Secretary of state trump's Rex Tillerson said that "no doubt" that Assad was responsible for the attack on the town held by the rebels in Idlib province in Northwest Syria. He urged Russia to "really think" about its continued support of Assad.

Syria renounced the use of chemical weapons and accused rebels in the massacre. Russia, the strongest ally of Syria, said that she had no combat aircraft in the area, and said that the victims were the result of air strikes of the regime on the plant for the production of chemical weapons in the territory controlled by "terrorists."

At a hastily called meeting of the UN Security Council, US Ambassador Nikki Haley has strongly condemned Russia and the Syrian government. She reported that the United States open to military action to put an end to the ongoing civil war in the country.
