Nikki Haley accused Russia of cowardice The US representative to the UN, Nikki Haley has described Russia as an isolated and fearful after deadly chemical attacks by Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad last week, which killed dozens of civilians, including children.

On Tuesday, US officials said that Russia is trying to hide the attack, and Haley said in an interview with CNN Jamie Gangelo that she thinks that Moscow "knew" about it beforehand.

"I think if you look at the fact that when this information came out, they so vehemently defended," said Haley. "They don't looked shocked, they looked surprised, they are so vehemently defended, and then there was the evidence, and we saw exactly how it was.
"They know what's going on?" asked Gangel.
"I think they knew, Yes," said Haley.

"I think they are nervous," continued Haley. "I think they feel as if their actions have weakened the Assad. They understand that the international community will not accept such barbarity, now they need to figure out how to save face. We give them every opportunity to save face".

Review Hayley sounded before important meetings it is the Secretary of state's Rex Tillerson and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, who will discuss the use by Assad of chemical weapons on its own people. In an interview with Fox Business Network on Wednesday, President Donald trump said that President of Russia Vladimir Putin supports the "truly evil man".

Haley has become a leading hawk in the foreign policy of the administration of the tramp and much more critical of Russia and Syria, than other members of the national security in the White house. Hayley and the White house are now saying that Assad should resign in order to create a stable Syria.
