United Airlines agreed with Dr. David Tao, a passenger who earlier this month was forcibly expelled from the plane. Tao lawyers announced the deal Thursday, but did not disclose financial terms of the settlement.

The airline United took full responsibility for what happened, not trying to blame others. A policeman who worked for the airline actually pushed Tao out of the plane. Since the officer was fired.

United wanted to remove Dao from the flight, to make room for crew members. The company has since promised that he will no longer use officers to force the removal of clients from their flights. The incident occurred on 9 April, and since then, United could not recover from the scandal.

Lawyers Tao said earlier that he got a concussion, broke his nose and lost teeth during the scandal. Dao can be seen with blood streaming down his face in footage of the incident. "Dr. Tao was the consummate champion for the adoption of changes that will undoubtedly help to improve the lives of literally millions of travelers," reads the statement of the lawyer of the Tao. United ensured that this will not happen again.

The scandal has already caused some changes in the industry. On Thursday, Southwest announced that it will not overload flights.
