President Donald trump has hosted at the White house Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak.

Kislyak was a Central figure in the dispute, because then the national security adviser Michael Flynn were dismissed after it was revealed that he misrepresented a conversation with Kislyak in the White house. Flynn is now one of the key figures in the investigation. The Russian Embassy posted a photo of trump on Twitter shaking hands with the Ambassador of Russia in the Oval office. Current and former US intelligence personnel accused of dubious that he is the spy and recruiter of spies. White house statement after the meeting did not mention the presence Kislyak, instead he focused on trump's conversation with Lavrov, who called the President "very very good".

The meeting was the highest level between the US administration and Moscow since the inauguration of the trump. Lavrov, who earlier started the press conference at the Russian Embassy, noting that "relations between the two countries ... are not in the best condition," also asked a series of questions about alleged Russian interference in the elections in 2016 with obvious irritation. "There is no fact (or) conclusive evidence of the intervention of Russia", - he said. In another moment he ridiculed the idea, saying that there must be "humiliating for the American people to realize that the Russian Federation controls the situation in the United States."
