Iran accused Saudi Arabia support ISIS The Iranian revolutionary guard accused Saudi Arabia that supported ISIS in the deadly attacks on the Iranian Parliament and the mausoleum of Khomeini.

At least 12 people were killed when 6 assailants struck a simultaneous blow with weapons and explosion in front of Iranian Parliament and the tomb of the revolutionary founder of the Republic, in one of the most daring attacks in Tehran for decades. The goal was very symbolic.

Most of the Sunnis of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Shiite majority throughout its history, had a strained relationship and more than 1 thousand years was involved in sectarian strife. The two rivals are on opposite sides of the violent conflicts in Syria, Yemen and other places, and, given the tensions, the attack on Iran is not a big shock.

The terrorist organization "ISIS" has claimed responsibility for the attack in Iran. The case of Islamic revolutionary guards vowed to avenge the attack and connected it with the visit of U.S. President Donald trump to Saudi Arabia in may.

The attack has shocked Tehran: so far Iran has largely avoided regular attacks directed against other members of the civil war in Syria. In a region engulfed in sectarian violence, residents of the capital lived in a peaceful oasis.
