Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected allegations of corruption Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected all charges of corruption. The Israeli police are conducting two investigations directly related to Netanyahu.

Netanyahu repeatedly subjected to interrogation in connection with the first two investigations - the first, when he improperly accepted gifts from businessmen abroad, and second, when he made a deal with Arnon Moses, owner of one of the leading Newspapers of Israel - IAOPA Chronoton. The agreement allegedly included mitigating attacks on the Prime Minister in exchange for what Netanyahu will reduce circulation of a competing paper. Netanyahu's lawyer said he did not believe that the Israeli attorney-General will prefer to accuse the Prime Minister in connection with any of these cases. Netanyahu has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

Consider the third case concerns the purchase of German submarines and attack aircraft. The purchases were made during the Premiership of Netanyahu, but so far it has not been questioned, and the attorney-General said that he is not the object of the investigation. The decision to purchase a German naval vessels in 2015 was made by ya'alon, who at the time served as defense Minister, Netanyahu. Ya'alon was later replaced by the Ministry of defence and has decided to leave the government, citing the "difficult moral and professional disputes with the Prime Minister, several other Ministers and some members of the Knesset." Since then, he has announced his intention to form his own political party to challenge Netanyahu.

Ya'alon said he and Netanyahu do indeed have similar views on security and foreign Affairs, but he still criticizes the Prime Minister in other areas. "My main dispute with the Prime Minister and other members of the government and the coalition was connected with internal problems," he said.
