The state Duma today passed a new law to increase the penalty to motorists for what they do not pass pedestrians on "Zebra".

Currently, the penalty for this offense is fifteen hundred rubles. The new law proposes to fine violators in size from a thousand to two thousand RUB we Must assume that the decision about the amount of penalty will be taken by the inspector of traffic police.

Lawmaker Andrei Isayev from the faction "United Russia" explained increasing fines for this violation.
