The 43-year-old singer has had two failed marriages, the first to singer James Debarge, which was annulled in 1985, and the second to music video director Rene Elizondo, which ended in divorce in 2000. She recently split from Jermaine Dupri after a long romance, and is currently single.

Despite this, she has not ruled out walking down the aisle again, or even having children, because she believes everything that happens is pre-ordained by God.

"I?m not dating anyone in particular," Janet said. "My friends say this is a cop-out, but I think if it`s God`s will for me to marry again, I will. The same with having kids. But the way I see it, I don`t need a piece of paper to validate a relationship; it`s more about a spiritual connection."

While she`s open to a new romance, Janet is not interested in making more music any time in the near future. The star has denied rumours she is working on a new album, saying she is too busy with film projects.

"I read somewhere that I`m not planning to make more albums; that`s not true," she told USA Today newspaper. "I love singing and performing too much to give them up. Right now I`ve got a couple more films I may do, and the festival. Then I`ll figure out whether to go with a major or do something more independent."
