Actor Corin Redgrave has died The `Four Weddings and a Funeral` star - a member of the Redgrave acting dynasty - died aged 70 after being taken ill at his home on Sunday (04.04.10), with a statement revealing he passed away 06.04.10.

The statement read: "Corin Redgrave has died today. He was taken ill at his home in the early hours of Sunday morning. He died very peacefully surrounded by his family. We will miss him very much."

As well as his acting credentials, Corin was a well known political activist and with his sister Vanessa was a prominent member of the Worker`s Revolutionary Party.

The star has previously won a number of theatre awards including the Laurence Olivier Award in 1998 and a Tony Award for Best Actor in 1999, both for his portrayal of Tennessee Williams in `Not About Nightingales.

As well as `Four Weddings and a Funeral`, Corin starred in a number of other movies, including `The Calling` in 2009 and 2001 Kate Winslet drama film `Enigma`.

Corin is survived by his wife Kika Markham and his grown up children Jemma, Luke, Arden and Harvey.
