The TV star was close friends with the hotel heiress when she was younger, and they were regularly pictured together. They have grown apart in recent years, but because they were once so close they are often compared and Kim is growing tired of it.

"I definitely respect her but I don`t really like to be referred to as like someone else because I think everyone is so different and y`know I grew up with her she`s a great girl, but I don`t like to be compared to anybody," Kim said. "We grew up together but I haven`t seen her in a few years. So if I saw her I`d say hi, but I haven`t seen her in a while."

Kim is best known for starring in reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians alongside her sister Khloe and Kourtney and the rest of her family. Although the programme follows much of her life Kim insists she does keep something back from the public eye.

"There is definitely a lot that I keep private. When I am at home with my friends and thing," Kim explained to Australian programme Today. "Twitter is great because you can share a little bit but you don`t have to give away anything you don`t want to. On the show I keep stuff back too. You do give away a lot and I do live a very public life but I`ve learned as I`ve gone along how to keep stuff private."
